Disclaimer

  • Use of the sauna is at your own risk. We ask that you contact your GP if at all in doubt about safely using the sauna. If any of the below apply to you (please note, this is not a comprehensive list) we advise you to seek your GP’s advice;

    -If you're pregnant

    -If you've had a heart attack or stroke

    -If you're taking any medications

    -If you have cardiovascular conditions, or problems

    -You have epilepsy

    -You have asthma or breathing conditions

    -High or low blood pressure

    -If you have arterial disease

    -If you have joint or muscle injury

    By booking a session, you're confirming that you, and everyone in your group, has considered this advice and those detailed in our T&Cs.

  • The sauna is wood-fired and is extremely hot. Do not touch it, other than as instructed to pour water onto the stones.

  • Please bring drinking water and stay hydrated throughout your session.

  • Children under the age of 16 are not permitted. Children 16 or older, have to be accompanied by an adult. with a ratio of two 16+ to one adult.

  • Shoreline Sauna takes no responsibility for the damage or loss of customers’ property. Please leave valuables at home.

  • If you are making this booking on behalf of a group, it is your responsibility to make all users aware of the terms and conditions and to practice safe sauna use.

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone who appears intoxicated, or deemed a risk to health and safety. Refunds will not be offered in this circumstance.

  • If you are running late please let us know within 15 minutes of the booking start time. Beyond this the appointment will be considered a ‘no-show’ and the time may be given to someone else so the sauna is not sitting empty.

Sauna etiquette and safe behaviour

  • Please enter and exit the sauna with care. 

  • Please remove your shoes before entering. 

  • Be aware that the stove reaches extremely high temperatures and should be treated with respect. Do not touch any part of it, and only pour the provided water onto the rocks as instructed by a member of staff.

  • Alcohol and smoking are not allowed in the sauna.

  • Please do not use essential oils in the sauna without permission.

  • Anyone using cold water as a ‘cold plunge’ does so at their own risk. You should ensure that you are a capable swimmer and can handle being exposed to the cold temperatures, tides, rip currents and other dangers of a body of water.   • Jewellery (or any metal) should be removed before entering the sauna, to prevent burning.

  • There are large steps to enter the pitch and the sauna itself, we regret that they may not be suitable for everyone.

Weather

  • We reserve the right to cancel bookings at any time due to unsuitable weather conditions. We will contact you to rearrange your booking. Your safety is our first concern.

Cancelling or amending bookings

  • You can cancel or amend up to 48 hr before the booking. If this time limit has passed you will not be automatically entitled to a refund but please contact us and we'll try our best to help.

Loyalty card, Packages & Discount voucher terms

  • We will offer a loyalty card to local residents to promote year round use of the sauna and establish its place as part of our local community. Your loyalty card will be stamped at each visit with a free sauna session available after the required number of sessions have been booked (and enjoyed!). Please see the loyalty card for full details of the offer, they are available from members of staff. This offer can be amended or terminated at any time without commitment to honour future ‘free’ sauna sessions. The offer is one per person, per household, for individual use. It holds no monetary value equivalent. Free session code expires 3 months after issue. Not redeemable against private sessions or gift cards. Loyalty cards can not be used alongside discounts or packages.

  • Package offers are to be used by individuals to book multiple sauna sessions on separate days, within 6 months of purchase. They are not intended for use by multiple people. Misuse of the offer will result in the offer being revoked.

  • Discount vouchers (including welcome offer) are one per person per household. They hold no monetary equivalent. Offers can be amended or terminated at any time. On occasion, we offer discounts to specific groups or clubs, in these cases the discount should only be used by the intended recipient, we reserve the right to cancel bookings should discounts be claimed by others. Discounts can not be ‘stacked’ and are not valid for use against gift vouchers purchases or ‘packages’ which are already heavily discounted.

  • River Cottage - 20% discount using code provided in River cottage summer guide email on open or private sauna appointment before 30th August 2023.. One per person per household. No monetary equivalent. Offers can be amended or terminated at any time. 

Gift Card terms

Gift cards can be purchased from our website to redeem a private sauna session (value £80). Gift cards should be used within 12 months of purchase.

Accessibility

We regret that due to the nature of our business (a mobile set up), there are some areas where accessibility may need to be considered. Please be aware that access to the sauna is across a sandy beach and there are large steps to negiotate to access the sauna. We also do not have electric lighting so light in the sauna can be dim. If you would like to discuss this prior to your visit please get in touch.

Refer a friend scheme

Our refer a friend scheme gives you rewards for introducing others to Shoreline Sauna. You can refer as many people as you wish and will be emailed your voucher reward when they book an appointment. This email can take ups to 24 hours to arrive. You can only be referred to us once. We reserve the right to withdraw the offer at any time or cancel bookings perceived to be breaching fair usage.
